Did you know that the planet Venus has a surface hot enough to melt tin or lead?

Venus has an extremely dense atmosphere made up mostly of carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas. So while Venus is Earth's twin in many other regards, its atmosphere is nearly 100 times more massive than our own. Venus's thick blanketing atmosphere prevents heat from escaping the planet and raises the average surface temperature to 464 degrees Celsius (867 Fahrenheit), well above the melting point of lead (327.5 degrees Celsius or 621.5 Fahrenheit).
