Did you know that the tag line from Alien "in space, no one can hear you scream" is actually true?
Edvard Munch's "Scream" (click to enlarge)

When you scream, your vocal chords vibrate, which in turn causes the air to oscillate. These vibrations are transmitted through the air to nearby ear drums, which begins to oscillate as well. People hear your scream and come to investigate. In the vacuum of space there is no medium to carry the oscillations, so your vocal chords could not affect anyone else's ear drum and there literally is no sound in space. In space, no one can hear you scream.
